The Exhibition “Pau Casals and the Exile” in Tarragona

From 11th January to 29th March, the city of Tarragona is hosting the travelling exhibition “Pau Casals and the Exile (1939-1973)” at the warehouse building Tinglado 1 of the Port of Tarragona’s wharf Moll de Costa

The exhibition has been produced by the Pau Casals Foundation together with the Office for the Promotion of Peace and Human Rights and the Directorate-General for the Democratic Memorial of the Catalan Government’s Department of Home Affairs and Institutional Relations, and on this occasion it has had the collaboration of the Tarragona Port Authority.

The exhibition is set within the frame of the events which the City of Tarragona has programmed for the first quarter of 2009 under the theme of “Just Seventy Years Ago”, which will be commemorating the 70th anniversary of the end of the Spanish Civil War in Tarragona and the towns in its area.

“Pau Casals and the Exile” may be visited at the warehouse building Tinglado 1 of the Port of Tarragona’s wharf Moll de Costa on Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., and on Sundays and holidays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
