The Pau Casals Museum will take part in the 3rd Museums and Education Fair

The participation for the first time of 70 museums from across Spain presenting their educational proposals is the most notable new feature of Expodidàctica 2008, an exhibition focused on pedagogical resources and teaching materials. Set within the frame of the Education and Work Week, Expodidàctica will be running from April 3rd to 5th at the Montjuïc exhibition centre.

Vil·la Casals' Restaurant re-opens

The restaurant of the Vil·la Casals re-opened its doors to the public in the past month of March. The restaurant will be open on Fridays and weekends in the winter, and daily during the summer months. By reservation, Vil·la Casals’ restaurant offers its services every day of the year to groups of 12 or more persons.

Cassià Maria Just, abbot emeritus of the Abbey of Montserrat, dies

Josep Maria Soler , the present president of the Pau Casals Foundation and father abbot of the monastery of Montserrat, and all the members of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees deeply regret the loss of Cassià Maria Just, who had been the abbot of Montserrat between 1966 and 1989 and the president of the Pau Casals Foundation between 1972 and 1989.

The president of the Paraliament of Catalonia visits the Pau Casals Museum

The president of the Parliament of Catalonia, Mr. Ernest Benach, visited the Pau Casals Museum and the temporary exhibition "Pau Casals and the Exile" on the past January 9th. The president was accompanied on his visit by the mayor of El Vendrell and by the director and various members of the Board of Trustees of the Pau Casals Foundation.
