Format pels clarinetistes Naüm Monterde, Oriol Garcia i Anna Margarida Roque han programat per aquest dissabte un concert que sota el títol “A tres!” ens proposa un recorregut per la música per a tres corni di bassetto de W.A. Mozart.

El proper dissabte 31 de juliol, a les 19:45, tindrà lloc als jardins de la Vil·la - Museu Pau Casals, el concert del Quintet Frontela, una jove agrupació instrumental de vent que neix en el sí de l’Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya el curs 2008-2009. Interpretaran la Pavana de Gabriel Fauré, el Quintet en Mi b Major d’Anton Reicha i el Quintet en Re Major de Giulio Briccialdi.

60 ANYS DEL FESTIVAL DE PRADA DE CONFLENT

GRANT-WINNERS CONCERT OF THE PAU CASALS FOUNDATION

At 10 p.m. on the coming 29th May, the Pau Casals Auditorium of El Vendrell will be the scene of the Grant-Winners Concert of the Pau Casals Foundation, with the symphony orchestra Camerata XXI, conducted by Tobias Gossmann, and the cellist and Pau Casals Foundation grant-winner Òscar Alabau. They will be performing works by J .C. Arriaga, Tchaikovsky and Beethoven.

THE YOUNG CELLIST MOISÉS LEE WINS THE PAU CASALS GRANT 2010

The tests for the PAU CASALS GRANT 2010 took place on Saturday, 15th May. This year’s contest is marked by an innovation in the grants that the Pau Casals Foundation has been awarding since 1984. From now on a single grant endowed with the sum of 12,000 € will be awarded, making it one of the largest grants offered anywhere for cello studies.

Just like each year, the Pau Casals Museum is celebrating International Museum Day by holding an Open Doors Day on Sunday,16 May and Tuesday, 18 May. Guided tours will be held on Sunday the 16th at 11 a.m. and 12.30 p.m., and on Tuesday the 18th at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Lluís Claret to Play Pau Casals' Complete Works for Cello and Piano on July 10th

The first performance worldwide of Pau Casals’ complete works for cello and piano will form the opening concert of the 30th edition of the Pau Casals International Music Festival, which will take place from 10 July to 28 August at the Pau Casals Auditorium of Sant Salvador, El Vendrell.

The project on the study and cataloguing of Pau Casals’ musical works and the first volume of the publisher Editorial Boileau’s collection of the Maestro’s work with the score of the Sonata for violin and piano will be presented at Caixa Catalunya’s La Pedrera Auditorium on the coming Wednesday, 17th February at 7 o’clock p.m.

"Pau Casals and the Exile" at the Cervantes Institue of Brussels

Next January 13, the Cervantes Institute of Brussels presents the exhibition “Pau Casals and the Exile". The exhibition is one of the first acts of the Spanish Presidency at the UE and it will be open till March 12.
