This summer, you can once again enjoy cultural and musical activities at the Pau Casals Museum. Throughout July and August, we’ve prepared theatrical visits, wine pairings, tastings, and concerts in the museum’s garden—an unbeatable setting right in front of Sant Salvador Beach (El Vendrell). CLASSICAL MUSIC IN THE MUSEUM GARDENS
“Music in the Gardens” Series
The summer concerts return once again with the “Music in the Gardens” series, organized in collaboration with young graduates from the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC).
- On August 9, the series will open with Quartet Fix.
- InVent Quintet will take over for the second concert on August 16.
- On August 23, Trio Brisa will headline the third session.
- Finally, the series will close on August 30 with Duo Lunna.
Vozes Charity Concert
This year marks the seventh edition of the VOZES Symphony Orchestra concert, featuring children and young people aged 8 to 22. This event supports the VOZES project, which promotes the social integration of children and adolescents in Barcelona through music education. Join us and support this transformative initiative—August 1.
MUSICAL PAIRINGS
On July 29 and 31, musical pairings return with a delightful combination of flavors, wines, and music in the gardens of Vil·la Casals. These special tastings are curated by the Terra i Taula collective. This year, we’ll be joined by Xicranda, a duet performing havaneres and traditional songs, featuring Guillem Payaró and Martí Santacana.
THEATRICAL VISITS, WINE TASTINGS & SANT SALVADOR ROUTE
Theatrical Visits with a Glass of Cava
On August 14 (in Catalan) and August 29 (in Spanish), enjoy theatrical visits at the Pau Casals Museum featuring Ramon the fisherman and Mr. Gaspar, a musician and friend of Pau Casals. Through their stories, you’ll dive into the history of the house and the life and work of Pau Casals. The visit ends with a glass of cava in the museum gardens.
Sea of Sound and Wine
On August 8 (in Spanish) and August 22 (in Catalan), experience a moving journey through Pau Casals’ life and music. This event begins with a guided tour and concludes in the museum garden with a wine and cava tasting (DO Penedès wines from Avgvstvs Fòrvm and Jané Ventura), accompanied by a live cello performance in a stunning Mediterranean setting.
Sant Salvador Route
On July 24 (Catalan), August 12 (Spanish), and August 19 (Catalan), the Pau Casals Museum offers a new edition of the cultural walking route through the seaside neighborhood of Sant Salvador. Led by expert guides, you’ll discover the area’s most iconic corners, its seafaring roots, and the rich history tied to Pau Casals.
Photo Exhibition: “BEHIND THE SCENES. The Prada Festival through the Lens of François Serre”
From July 10 to August 31, visit the Pau Casals Museum’s multipurpose room to see this unique exhibition offering an intimate view of the historic Prada Festivals through 60 previously unseen photographs.
